Recovering from Losses in Life—Teacher: Randy Seib & Jacquie Hildebrandt (Sept-Dec) Life is marked by a variety of losses. Some are life-changing, such as leaving home, natural disasters, the death of a loved one, or divorce. Others are subtle, such as changing jobs, moving, or broken friendships. Whatever the disaster, there is always potential for change, growth new insight, understanding, and refinement.
Biblical Foundations—Teacher: Pastor Keith (Sept-Dec) Join us in exploring the truths of Scripture that shape the very foundations of our faith. We will learn together, discover and appreciate why it is that we believe as we do. Understanding faith will better equip us to share the hope we have with others.

Communicating Our Story – Teacher: Carol Harrison Communication is not optional in our lives. We engage in it every day. We talk to family, friends, co-workers, bosses, teachers or even sales clerks. We text. We phone. We engage to a point on social media but this also helps us hide behind a screen. Some communication is more enjoyable than other types – a visit with your best buddy beats conflict resolution or even public speaking. Sharing our testimony, even one on one, while commanded in Scripture leaves us in a panic. Being asked to teach a small group or Bible study, may have us quaking in our boots. Reading scripture on Sunday morning in church cause our stomach to threaten to empty its contents. Even sharing something exciting that happened – at VBS – for example makes us feel faint with fear. Good public speaking skills are something you can practice – which is the key word here. It doesn’t mean perfection, no nerves whatsoever or even that it will become your passion but we can learn some tips and techniques to teach those butterflies to fly in formation and ease our anxiety levels so when God opens a door or presents an opportunity to share the hope you have within you, will be ready.
